Dr. Siti Hawa Binti Hamzah is a Visiting Consultant Medical Microbiologist specialising in clinical microbiology, infectious disease diagnostics, and microbial diagnostics. Her expertise focuses on the identification and laboratory investigation of infectious diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Her clinical and diagnostic areas include respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, bloodstream infections, sepsis, meningitis, encephalitis, skin and soft tissue infections, and healthcare-associated infections. She also has experience in the investigation of tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, opportunistic infections, and infections involving antimicrobial-resistant organisms. Dr. Siti Hawa provides a comprehensive range of microbiological investigations, including microbial culture, bacterial identification, viral testing, fungal identification, parasitology testing, blood and urine cultures, wound culture, and respiratory specimen testing.
