Dr. Yong Swee Guan is a Consultant Pathologist specialising in anatomical pathology, surgical pathology, and diagnostic pathology. His expertise involves the microscopic and laboratory assessment of tissues and cells to support the diagnosis and classification of cancers, tumours, inflammatory diseases, infections, and other pathological conditions. His diagnostic areas include benign and malignant tumours, breast cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal and colorectal cancer, gynaecological cancer, skin cancer, soft tissue tumours, lymph node disorders, inflammatory diseases, infectious diseases, autoimmune conditions, tissue abnormalities, organ-specific diseases, and metastatic cancer. Dr. Yong provides comprehensive pathology services including histopathological examination, surgical pathology, tissue and biopsy assessment, tumour diagnosis, cytopathology, immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology assessment, histological examination, and surgical specimen assessment. He also performs cancer grading and staging and prepares detailed pathology reports to support clinical diagnosis and treatment planning. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and completed his Master of Pathology (MPath) at the University of Malaya (UM). He is also an Associate Member of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (AM Mal).
